i recently had these tufted wingbacks re-upholstered for our living room. i really love the way they turned out, thanks to back alley furniture (highly recommended if you need something re-upholstered).
my parent’s bought these bad boys in the 70’s back when burnt orange suede was apparently THE thing. yikes. but, they have really great bones - and i’m such a sucker for some good tufting and brass nail heads. :)
you will be stupid. you will worry your parents. you will question your own choices, your relationships, your jobs, your friends, where you live, what you studied in college, that you went to college at all… if that happens, then you’re doing it right.

i snapped these photos yesterday afternoon at my parent’s house. they bought this place a few years ago when it wasn’t really even in livable condition. it was built in the early 1900’s and they’ve re-invented and revived the whole thing themselves. as you can see, it oozes character and charm around every corner. and it might be the most relaxing place on the planet, if you ask me - the best place to take a break from it all.
my parent’s style is a little more traditional than my own, but i think they’ve done such a great job keeping this place true to it’s roots. this is what you get when you never step foot in a big box furniture store.
this house is a never ending work-in-progress (is there one that isn’t?), but i wanted to show off the cool stuff they’ve done so far. also, you can see a shot of the front of the house here.
